How it works
A daily ritual, not a feed
Red Letter Cards asks for a few minutes a day. No streaks to protect, nothing to scroll — just one honest exchange.
- 1
Pin what you're carrying
Onboarding ends with the most honest question the app asks — what are you walking with right now? You name it plainly. It stays pinned as the anchor for every reading until you mark it resolved.
- 2
Draw three cards
Once a day, you draw. Three verses from the red letters of the Gospels, revealed one at a time, with a beat of quiet between each.
- 3
Receive the reading
Each card comes with a short reflection — a moment of recognition, the historical context, and a connection to your situation — and closes with one question to sit with.
Three cards. One pastoral arc.
The three cards aren't past, present, and future, and they aren't fortune-telling. They follow the shape of a conversation with a wise mentor:
Where He meets you
A word from Christ that names or acknowledges what you're carrying.
What He teaches
A word that challenges the way you're seeing it, reframes it, or deepens it.
What He's calling you toward
A word about action, posture, or hope — where to walk from here.
Same problem tomorrow, different verses. Christ has many things to say about what you're walking through — the draw surfaces three of them for today.
Honest about what this is
A study partner, not an interpreter
The reflections are written by AI working only from the words of Jesus and the situation you pinned. It offers context and questions. It never claims to speak for God, and it never predicts what He will do.
One reading a day
The daily limit is the point. This is a ritual you return to, not a habit that empties you. Even after the trial, you draw once a day.
Only the red letters
Every verse is something Jesus actually said in the Gospels — not commentary, not someone else's words about Him.
Private by design
No account, no email, no ads. The problem you pin is sent to the AI to write your reading, and is never stored on our servers or used to train any model.

Frequently asked questions
Is Red Letter Cards free?
The app is free to download and includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a subscription is $39.99/year for unlimited daily readings. Past readings stay accessible even without a subscription.
Does it use AI?
Yes. Each reflection is generated by an AI working only from the words of Jesus and the situation you pinned. It acts as a study partner — adding historical context and asking questions. It never speaks for God or predicts outcomes.
Is the problem I pin private?
Yes. There is no account and no email sign-up. The problem you pin is sent to the AI to write your reading and is never stored on our servers or used to train any model.
Which verses does it draw from?
Only the red letters — the words Jesus actually spoke in the Gospels. The launch corpus covers Matthew and Mark, including the Sermon on the Mount, and grows over time.
Do I need an iPhone?
Red Letter Cards is an iPhone and iPad app and needs iOS 17 or later. On Android? You can still receive a daily verse and reflection by email from GetFaithDaily.
How often can I draw?
Once a day. The daily limit is intentional — the app is built as a ritual to return to, not a feed to scroll.
